One Take is an online global video competition that encourages participants to submit a video monologue responding to the question: “Is access to clean, safe water for drinking a basic human right? Why? or Why not?”
Video monologues can be recorded in any language using any video recording device and can be submitted by uploading files in any major digital video format using our submission form. All entries must be in one take. That is to say the entire monologue should be one continuous shot with no edits and/or visual or graphic overlays see Anthony Wojtkowiak’s example video.
All entries must be subtitled in at least one 1 language using dotSUB.com functionality. Entries with more than one language subtitled will automatically qualify for the Special Prize.
You submission must not exceed 2 minutes.
The competition will be open until August 15, 2009 and prizes will be announced on September 30, 2009.
PrizesGrand Prize is $500 USD
Runner-up Prize $300 USD
Special prize of $300 USD – for the entry that is correctly subtitled in the most number of languages.
